The return of Formula 1 to Miami was a golden opportunity for watchmakers to gather with press, celebrities, retailers and customers and show them a good time in the sunshine state with lashings of hospitality.
TAG Heuer pushed the boat out with a Miami Design District Jungle Plaza installation in partnership with the Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team for which it is official timekeeper.
TAG Heuer’s ambassadors and reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, who won the Miami Grand Prix, and his Oracle Red Bull Racing teammate Checo Perez, spent time at the installation, showing their racing skills in go karts and mixing with special guests.
Friends of the brand, Paulina Vega and Madelyn Cline were also persuaded into a kart.
“We were delighted to celebrate the inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix with an exciting TAG Heuer takeover in the heart of Miami’s Design District. The brand’s longstanding passion for racing really came alive in this fun outdoor go-karting experience and it was wonderful to see so many of our friends and clients enjoy some lighthearted competition tonight” says Benjamin Beaufils, President of TAG Heuer North America.
“We were also very proud to host our partner the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team and their exceptional drivers Max and Checo who shared some inspiring stories. We wish them a fantastic race on the new track, and we will be cheering them on!”
During the evening, the master of ceremony and professional race car driver, Samantha Tan, welcomed the Oracle Red Bull Racing headliners to the stage to discuss the anticipation of race day, season reflections, and of course, their performance on the TAG Heuer Miami Experience go-kart track.
DJ Pedro Cavaliere entertained the guests from a bridgeway overlooking the go-kart track.
