TAG Heuer is treating Ayrton Senna Formula 1 watch fans to an automatic version of a watch that was previously available only with a quartz movement.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Senna Special Edition looks the same as the racy quartz chronograph, apart from the appearance of Calibre 16 just below the date at 3 o’clock on the dial, a reference to the automatic movement inside.
While TAG Heuer now officially partners with Porsche and the Red Bull Formula 1 team, the Ayrton Senna Formula 1 watch has more of the red of McLaren, for which the Brazilian legend raced, in details on the tachymeter ceramic bezel, chronograph pushers, crown and subdials.
The 44mm steel watch comes on the distinctive S-shaped-links steel bracelet.
It has an engraving of Mr Senna in his racing helmet on a closed case back.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Senna Special Edition Automatic is on sale now for $3,550.
