Supergirl, the movie, hits cinemas this weekend, with a soundtrack including Call Me by 1970s rock band Blondie.
That is not the only connection between the DC Comics superhero and Debbie Harry’s iconic act.
Timex has also brought the peroxide pair together on the dial of a new Supergirl x Blondie x Q Timex, which has a graphic dial featuring a pop-art portrait of the first lady of punk framed by a black stainless-steel case and bezel marked with the names Blondie and Supergirl in stylized intergalactic script.
The quartz watch comes in a 36mm case and is worn on a studded leather strap that would not have looked out of place at New York’s CBGB club in 1979.
It is being offered on pre-order from today and general release on June 26 priced at $299.
