The overriding impression on first entering Bucherer’s TimeDome in Las Vegas is of walking into a vast art gallery.
The cavernously high ceilings, the brightness and whiteness of the space, and the presentation of watches as precious timeless objet d’art all add to the sense of it sharing the very best of horology rather than just retailing branded product.
The gallery feel is not an accident. In fact it was central to the relaunch of TimeDome.
The space hosted Bucherer’s first Masterworks showcase, which highlights the very finest and iconic watches from a range of watchmakers right at the entrance to the showroom.
This month Bucherer is presenting a second Masterworks collection at its New York TimeMachine flagship.
“Masterworks, aptly derived from ‘master at work,’ is Bucherer’s response to the growing demand for individual and exclusive luxury products, positioning watchmaking as the ultimate artform. It goes beyond being a mere collection; it’s a carefully curated selection of exceptional timepieces that embody the pinnacle of artisanal and innovative haute horlogerie,” the company describes.
Among the Masterworks pieces showcased at the TimeMachine are:
- IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Perpetual Calendar
- Breguet – Tradition 7077.
- Blancpain – Fifty Fathoms Tourbillon 8 Jours
- Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges
- Hautlence – Vagabonde x Black Badger
- IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Perpetual Calendar
- Jacob & Co – Astronomia Solar Constellations Plants & Yellow Stone
- Jacob & Co – Opera Godfather Minute Repeater
- Ressence Type 8 Sage Green
- Ulysse Nardin – Skeleton X Gold
The collection of timepieces aims to highlight the diversity, creativity, technical brilliance and tradition of the watchmaking world.
“With this ambitious program, Bucherer invites enthusiasts to explore the infinite measurements of time, merging ultra-modernity with tradition,” the retailer promises.
