If the pomp and ceremony of the Planet Omega opening was a little too sedate for you, the 40th anniversary of G-Shock, across town in the Manhattan Center at 311 West 34th Street, would have got the blood pumping.
G-Shock hosted an inspiring event including an on-stage conversation with the ‘Father of G-Shock’ Kikuo Ibe.
As evening turned to night, the event continued with a set from global Latin artist, J Balvin who entertained celebrities, fans and watch enthusiasts.
Stars attending the night included Ja Rule, Kelly Bensimon, Dave East, Luis Guzmán, Justina Valentine, Eric Haze, Matt Dillon and Johnny Nunez, who have all supported G-Shock over many years.

G-Shock also unveiled its second Dream Project of the year, an 18ct gold, AI-designed timepiece that will be auctioned off at Phillips in New York on December 9 and 10.
