Take a tour of Omega’s newest boutique on Boston’s famous Newbury Street

Back Bay neighborhood has become a destination for watch lovers.

Ever since The Newbury Hotel reopened in 2021 with Tiffany & Co. on its ground floor, Newbury Street in Boston has been has been transforming from a cluster of local independent boutiques to a parade of luxury brands.

Long’s Jewelers triggered a gold rush for watch brands with the opening of a Rolex boutique, also in 2021, and followed this up with a Patek Philippe and fine jewelry boutique on the opposite side of the road.

Now, along a single city block between Arlington and Berkley, Newbury Street is home to Panerai, IWC, Chanel, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Bulgari, Cartier, Hublot, Breitling, A. Lange & Sohne, Richard Mille, Vacheron Constantin, Shreeve Crump & Low, Van Cleef and Arpel and — from June — Omega.

Remarkably, there is not yet a Tudor store in the Black Bay watch lovers’ paradise.

With the exception of Long’s and Shreeve Crump & Low, every watch boutique is run directly by the brands, and Omega’s new outpost among the brownstones of Boston is no different.

The official opening in June was hosted by Omega USA brand president Arnaud Michon in the company of special guest, Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose.

Inside, the showroom is designed around the red of Omega’s logo with semi-transparent graduated red walls used to create interior spaces.

Visitors are greeted with a large golden sculpture of an astronaut, reminding them of Omega’s history in the American space race, before being drawn into the bright and modern showroom full of inventive lighting, modern materials and the same precision finishing as the brand’s watches.
