Grand Seiko held the opening party for its New York City flagship last week with retail partners, press, customers and celebrities coming together at the 55th Street and Madison showroom.
The new split-level boutique is the largest Grand Seiko store in the world, and promises an unparalleled experience for watch enthusiasts and collectors.
Grand Seiko’s top brass from Japan flew in for the ribbon cutting including Akio Naito, president of Seiko Watch Corporation, who was responsible for launching the luxury brand in the United States in 2010.
On the celebrity front, James Blake was guest of honor. The British singer and song writer was seen clipping into a range of Grand Seiko watches while mixing with other guests.
