Timex decorates watches with Keith Haring street art

“The Timex x Keith Haring collection celebrates Haring’s iconic art legacy while reminding us of the importance of using our time wisely,” Timex says.

Timex is paying tribute to New York street artist Keith Haring in three limited edition watches featuring his most iconic work.

Mr Haring died in 1990, aged just 31, but his art lives on in sculptures and street art all over the world — most notably in New York City’s parks and subways.

Timex has licensed his work for use on an Easy Reader, a T80 digital watch and a Q Timex.

They are all monochrome designs with Haring work across their dials and straps.

“The Timex x Keith Haring collection celebrates Haring’s iconic art legacy while reminding us of the importance of using our time wisely,” Timex says.

“Each watch has a striking black and white color scheme that pays tribute to his earliest pop art drawings hastily sketched with chalk onto the empty black panels of NYC’s subways. Recognizable elements from his work bring an artistic energy to the overall design, with his signature hour markers and Timex-headed figure reminding the wearer to face their own race against time and make every second count,” the brand adds.

Prices start at $99.
