The 1916 Company launches live interactive shopping shows

Tim Mosso to host a weekly show presenting new arrivals or watches from The 1916 Company's vault.

The 1916 Company is going live with its own version of a TV shopping channel.

1916 Live is described as “an immersive, interactive shopping experience bringing luxury watch enthusiasts closer to exclusive collections and expert insights”.

Your host for the weekly streamed show will be inhouse watch expert Tim Mosso, who will be joined by guests.

The launch today, October 9, is at midday EST and features 1916’s chief sales officer Mike Manjos, who built a public profile as the frontman for Watchbox’s popular Market Wrap watch trading Youtube videos.

1916 Live is, of course, focused on selling watches, but also drawing together a community of watch lovers and collectors.

“We see a tremendous opportunity to marry content, community, and commerce with 1916 Live,” says John Shmerler, CEO of The 1916 Company. “Our aim is to offer watch lovers a fun and fast-paced forum where they can discover extraordinary finds and receive personalized assistance, all while engaging with our experts in real-time.”

The show will present curated collections of luxury watches, new arrivals that are not yet available on the 1916 website.

It aims to be interactive, with viewers able to chip in via a live chat and adding watches to an online shopping basket.

Today’s launch digs into the 1916 Company’s vault and will focus on topics including “Building a Collection: Great Watches Under $10,000”, “Collector’s Week: Rare Finds”, “Grail-Worthy: Watches Worth the Investment” and “Under the Radar References.”

1916 Live episodes will air every Wednesday afternoon
