TAG Heuer has a hybrid sales model in most Western markets: a combination of multibrand wholesale partners, franchised monobrand boutiques, its own internal boutiques and its direct to consumer ecommerce store.
There is careful calibration of its distribution so that branded stores, both internal and franchised, get access to selections of limited editions and other exclusives that are not typically offered to multibrand partners.
TAG Heuer’s ecommerce store has always had top tier status in this hierarchy, and now has an additional opportunity with two watches that will be offered exclusively online.
First is a new Carrera Date Automatic on a black calfskin strap with orange lining.
It has a black dial, decorated in the azurage style of concentric circular grooves, with rhodium-plated, polished hands and indexes.
The watch is powered by a Calibre5 automatic movement housed in a fine-brushed 39mm steel case with an exhibition case back.
It is on sale now for $3,300+tax.
Also exclusive to tagheuer.com is a new Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph, running on the TH50-00 solar-charging quartz movement.
It has a horizontally-grooved black sunray dial dial, which allows light to pass through it to charge the watch, and has distinctive polar blue and accents.
The sporty dive watch comes in a 40mm sandblasted titanium case with a closed case back and has a countdown bezel in the same metal and finish.
It comes on a grey textile strap with polar blue stitching priced at $3,200+tax.
