Skagen is sticking to its plan to make hybrid connected watches that work like analogue timekeepers but with much of the same functionality as touchscreen smartwatches.
The latest Jorn Gen 6 Hybrid Smartwatch combines clean, Scandi-style dials with features such as built in Alexa voice commands, an upgraded heart rate sensor with blood oxygen monitoring and a new wellness dashboard to keep all key stats in one place.
It works with both Android and iOS smartphones.
“We know our customers desire both form and function. They want to stay connected while enhancing their personal style, and these new hybrid smartwatches do both”, says Greg McKelvey, EVP, and chief commercial officer.
“Our Danish design-inspired hybrid smartwatches seamlessly merge Skagen’s intentional design with innovative technology, like the latest Alexa integration. We pride ourselves on being innovators in the traditional watch space, and we believe that the hybrid smartwatch is the place where analogue meets digital.”
The Gen 6 comes in both 38mm and 42mm case sizes with silver-tone, rose gold-tone, charcoal and black case colours.
They can be worn on stainless steel mesh, silicone and leather straps.
Each style is on sale now for $215.
Unlike power hungry smartwatches, the Jorn Gen 6 Hybrid Smartwatch will keep running for two weeks between charges.
In conjunction with a tethered smartphone app, the watch offers:
- – Music Control
- – Wellness health tracking
- – Notifications
- – Find your phone
- – Real time weather
- – Workout tracking
