Northern Lights inspire Jaeger-LeCoultre’s two new interpretations of the Rendez-Vous Celestial

Offered in a limited edition of 18 pieces for each model, mother-of-pearl and multi-coloured sapphires are the focus.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new Celestial jewelry watches have been inspired by the world-famous Aurora Borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights.

In the new ‘Northern Lights’ edition, mother-of-pearl and multi-coloured sapphires are the focus.

Asymmetrical in composition, the dial is formed of two sections and is set at different heights.

It is powered by the automatic mechanical movement Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 809/1 which turns the disc counter clockwise in relation to the stars.

For the ‘Northern Lights’ edition, both sections of the mother-of-pearl dial are hand-painted with swirls of colour that reproduce the patterns of the Aurora Borealis.

A hand-polished golden star, an emblem of the Rendez-Vous collection, is set on the edge of the dial; by turning the second crown, it can be moved into position to mark the time of a special rendezvous.

The new collection is offered in a limited edition of 18 pieces of each model.
