We are still two months away from Formula 1’s season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 16, but IWC is getting a jump on the grid with the unveiling of a Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team watch.
It has a matte gray titanium case with a black dial lit up with Petronas green luminous branding, hands and printed hour markers. It is sold on a rubber strap in the same color.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, IWC’s long-standing brand ambassador at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team, is changing seats to a Ferrari for the 2025 season, so the new driving team of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli will be strapping into the brand’s watches on the podium this year.
The 40mm Pilot’s Watch has a case back engraved with small hexagons as well as “Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team”.
It is powered by the IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre, an automatic movement with a power reserve of 120 hours.
IWC says the watch will be worn trackside by team members including mechanics, engineers and race strategists during the 2025 season.
It is on sale now for $6,100.
