HYT’s new brand ambassador, Congolese musician Fally Ipupa, has put his name and creative energy into an 8-piece limited edition watch for the brand.
Fally is currently touring the United States with his crossover mix of traditional Congolese beats and modern sounds.
He is a huge social media star, sharing his lavish lifestyle with 5.8 million followers on Instagram.
Announcing the collaboration with HYT to fans, he describes the new S1 5N Gold Titanium Limited Edition Fally Ipupa as: “A celebration of kinetic energy, rhythm, and modern elegance.”
“This project allowed me to explore time in a new way. HYT’s innovative vision aligns perfectly with the rhythm of my own creative journey. Together, we’ve created something timeless,” he adds.
The CHF 78,000 watch is made in a 45mm gold and black DLC-treated titanium case and is powered by HYT’s fluid-driven hydromechanical caliber 501-C.
Hours are shown with black liquid pushed around a borosilicate capillary tube by miniature bellows that are powered by the movement’s manually-would mainspring, which has a power reserve of 72 hours.
The watch has a central minutes hand plus subdials for power reserve and seconds on its three-dimensional openworked dial.
Fally’s signature is applied in gold to a sapphire crystal case back.
Intriguingly, HYT says the watch is a forerunner of an upcoming sports watch collection that the troubled company says is a signal of its strong ambitions for the future.
