Grand Seiko’s artists have come up with another textured dial, this time inspired by the snow-topped Mount Iwate.
The Grand Seiko Snowscape Hi-Beat 44GS, part of the watchmaker’s heritage series, continues a series of timepieces based on a Nature of Time theme, a Japanese philosophy where every moment is a unique expression unveiled through light and shadow, the company describes.
It is is powered by the Grand Seiko in-house Calibre 9SA5 with a power reserve of 80 hours.
It is accurate to -3/+5 seconds per day thanks to its Dual Impulse Escapement, the Free-sprung balance and the horizontal Gear train.
The Snowscape comes in a 40mm case with integrated bracelet made from Grand Seiko’s tough and bright Ever Brilliant Steel.
It is on sale from today. UK price is £8,000, expected to convert to around $8,700 in the United States.
