Christopher Ward creates blue sapphire watch face for its C60 diver

Translucent blue sapphire used on the dial and caseback allows its automatic movement to be seen from both sides.

Christopher Ward premieres its first television advertising campaign in the UK tomorrow, and it will feature the C60 Sapphire, the latest addition to the C60 Trident 3 series, as its star.

Its key feature is a translucent blue sapphire watch face and caseback which allows its Sellita SW200 automatic movement to be seen from both sides.

Christopher Ward has chosen a 40mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional bezel for the collection, which is aimed at the hottest part of the market right now: sports watches as everyday watches.

It is water resistant to 600 meters, while its glossy sapphire dial adds interest and luxury to a watch selling for $920, or $1,020 on a steel bracelet.
