To commemorate the custom, Chaumet has released a collection of watches which the designers say aim to marry the watmaker with the offerings of the earth.
In all of the six watches, each ornamental stones dial is enhanced with a diamond-paved rose or white gold bezel and an alligator strap.
The brand says that each piece is unique with each dial showing a landscape ‘freed from rules and convention, emotive in its striking simplicity.’
