Attar United opens second Hublot flagship in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is becoming a key growth opportunity for Swiss watchmakers.

Attar United has opened its second Hublot boutique in Saudi Arabia with a showroom in Riyadh’s Solitaire Mall, a destination shopping and dining development that opened at the start of the year.

Early tenants at the mall, which Time Out Riyadh describes as the city’s new ultra-luxe lifestyle destination, include Louis Vuitton, Dior, Cartier, Gucci and Balenciaga.

Attar United opened its first Hublot boutique in the Kingdom’s western city Al- Khobar in 2020, and has since opened spectacular showrooms with Chopard and Graff.

The family firm, not to be confused with Rolex partner Saddik & Mohamed Attar Company, was founded in 2012 and has already built some of the largest and impressively appointed showrooms in the region.

Its investment in Hublot comes as the brand is targeting Saudi Arabia as a strategic growth opportunity.

“Saudi Arabia is a key market for Hublot, and this flagship boutique demonstrates our commitment to bring the best of our brand to this region,” says David Tedeschi, Hublot’s managing director for Latin America, Middle East and Africa.

“We are excited to introduce our unique luxury offerings to local watch enthusiasts and create unforgettable experiences that resonate with our brand values. We look forward to welcoming watch aficionados and collectors to this unique space.”

The new boutique in Riyadh has 2,650 square feet of interior space that aims to deliver Saudi Arabian hospitality in a spacious lounge alongside its retail offer.

A highlight of the boutique is the Middle East’s first Experiential Room where cutting-edge innovation and watchmaking are presented in an interactive experience that explains, among other things, Hublot’s in-house development of new materials and manufacturing techniques using rubber, its patented Magic Gold, ceramic and sapphire.

Mohammad Saddik Attar, CEO of Attar United, says he is honoured and delighted to continue his company’s fruitful partnership with Hublot. “This partnership reflects our shared vision of providing unparalleled luxury experiences to clients in the Kingdom, and we are confident this boutique will become a must-visit destination for watch aficionados,” he adds.
