Rolex’s top executives have taken some of the most senior head office roles at Bucherer, which it acquired almost a year ago, to the day.
Rolex president Nicolas Brunschwig has become president of Bucherer and Rolex CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour is taking over the post of vice president for the international luxury jeweller.
Bucherer’s board of directors now also includes Rolex chief financial officer Christian Bezençon, Philippe Pascal, a Rolex board member, and Sören Schwieterka, a lawyer at the Lucerne law firm Mühlebach Advokatur, which has represented Bucherer’s legal interests for years.
Guido Zumbühl remains CEO of Bucherer.
Rolex confirmed the new roles following an inquiry from WatchPro.
Rolex’s acquisition of Bucherer in August last year required approval from competition authorities, a process that has now been completed with both Swiss and EU authorities.
