Omega looks to the stars with meteorite-dialed Constellations

Omega offers the chance to wear part of a 4.5 billion space rock on your wrist.

A new space race to return astronauts to the Moon is underway and NASA’s favorite wristwatch maker from the 1960s, Omega, is once again looking to the stars.

A new collection of Constellation watches has been introduced that each have unique dials made from slices of the Muonionalusta meteorite.

The iron-based rock is believed to be over 4.5 billion years old and landed in Scandinavia around one million years ago.

The collection houses Constellation watches in four sizes: 41mm, 29mm, 28mm and 25mm.

There are five dial colors, making up a total of 20 references across the range.

The largest 41mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer comes in stainless steel with a black ceramic bezel. The meteorite dial has been given a rhodium-grey galvanic color treatment.

Smaller options for ladies include a gold and steel 29mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer with a dial given a PVD Moonshine Gold finish. It has diamond hour markers and a diamond-paved bezel.

Both the 28mm and 25mm diamond-decorated models are bi-color steel and gold with meteorite dial colours including icy blue and lilac.

The collection is on sale now with prices starting from $9,300.
