With Guido Terreni taking the reins at Parmigiani Fleurier, it was only a matter of time before he used his experience with ladies watches at Bulgari to introduce female-focused collections at his new atelier.
Tonda is the perfect platform watch for expansion into ladies’ lines, and the first models for that collection have been unveiled today in 36mm form with diamond-decorated dials, bezels and lugs.
There are 18ct white gold and rose gold models, both priced at CHF 59,000.
For that price you get the horological heft of Michel Parmigiani, the jeweler’s eye of Mr Terrini and enough diamonds to satisfy Marilyn Monroe: 979 set on the dial and a further 70 for the bezel and lugs.
The crown has a cabochon in either blue sapphire on the white gold model, or white opal on the rose gold piece.
Both use Parmigiani’s two-hand PF310 automatic winding manufacture movement with Côtes de Genève decorated main plate and 22 ct rose gold, Grain d’Orge guilloché patterned oscillating weight.
