G-SHOCK has brought back a modern interpretation of its octagonal 2100 watch in a range of colours, connectivity to a smartphone and solar charging.
First unveiled in 2019, the GA-2100 was a contemporary version of the first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C.
They proved popular for their sleeker styling than some of the more adventurous G-SHOCK formats, which is achieved with a slimmer module and compact watch face.
That hasn’t compromised on the famous ruggedness associated with G-SHOCK.
The GA-2100 still incorporates the protective Carbon Core Guard structure and carbon fiber-reinforced resin case.
Five colors were selected that may be familiar to G-SHOCK geeks because they are all classics — yellow, green, blue, black and grey — used in the G-SHOCK 5600 line in the late eighties.
They launch on May 2. The yellow model is $150 while all other colors cost $140.
