G-Shock has dropped a fresh collaboration watch in its GM2100 style that celebrates the 20th anniversary of One OK Rock, one of the most iconic Japanese watch brands of the 21st century.
GM2100 G-Shocks are known as Casioaks by fans of the brand thanks to their octagonal bezels that give them a passing resemblance to Royal Oaks from Audemars Piguet.
The One OK Rock tribute watch was designed with the guiding hand of the band’s bassist, Ryota, who chose a mostly monochrome style with a black dial, polished steel bezel and white, translucent strap.
Custom details include a strap loop engraved with a reproduction of Ryota’s well-known tattoo, special packaging and the watch case back’s engraved ONE OK ROCK logo have been designed by Swedish artist and long-time friend to the band, Emil.
On the wrist, the main design feature is a scattering of cherry blossom floating across a black dial.
The GM2100TTTR8A analog/digital hybrid has a rich package of the usual G-Shock features including its shock resistant structure, 200 meter water resistance, five daily alarms, countdown timer and 1/100-second stopwatch.
It is on sale now for $300.
