Zenith has unveiled a new version of the Defy Extreme Diver with a silvery dial decorated with four-pointed stars.
It follows other recent expansions to Zenith’s ever-popular flagship Defy line.
The new watch has a 42.5mm titanium case and features the characteristic 12-sided notched diving bezel.
Just like the ground-breaking Defy from 1969, the Extreme Diver lives up to its name with a no-nonsense 600m of water resistance.
It is also equipped with a helium escape valve for saturation diving.
The large hands and applied hour markers are filled with Superluminova in three shades: blue, green and yellow.
The different shades on the hands helps instantly distinguish between hours, minutes, and seconds.
The bright orange accents are a nod to historical Defy divers.
It is powered by the high-frequency El Primero 3620-SC automatic movement with 60 hours of power reserve.
This version of the famous El Primero movement has a paramagnetic escapement with parts made from anti-magnetic silicon.
Unlike most divers, which go for a screw-down case back, the movement is visible through a sapphire crystal window.
It comes on a three-link titanium bracelet and is also supplied with two interchangeable straps: one is black rubber; the other, made from recycled fishing nets, is extra long and designed to fit over a wetsuit.
The new Zenith Defy Extreme Diver costs €11,800
