Welcome to the WatchPro Hot 100 2023

Sat outside the Patek Philippe flagship on London’s Bond Street are bronzes of wartime leaders Sir Winston Churchill and Franklin D Roosevelt. Where better to photograph the trans-Atlantic WatchPro team?

We are not exactly saving the world with our reporting on the global watch business, but we are trying to conquer it.

With editions of WatchPro already in the UK, United States and Germany, we are delighted to share that two new websites, one in Arabic and the other in French for readers in Switzerland and France, are launching this month.

We also have exciting news for this side of The Pond, which is the launch of our prestigious WatchPro Awards in the United States.

A gala black tie dinner will be held in Cipriani on Broadway in the evening of September 14.

Keep your calendar free because this will be a night to remember, with watch retailers and brands in the running to win categories like Best New Store, Best Marketing Activation, Retailer of the Year and Brand of the Year.

Last year, the WatchPro team was just three members of staff.

Now, we are six (soon to be seven) in London, two in Germany and we are hiring in the United States, Switzerland and the Middle East.

But enough about us.

This book is about you, the people who make the American watch industry the biggest (that’s official!) and best in the world.

It has been year of opportunities as well as challenges, but no industry is better prepared to continue thriving and growing, whatever headwinds come our way.

I would like to thank everybody who gave up their time for photo shoots and interviews in the making of this book. It has been another vintage year, and it is my honor to introduce the 2023 Hot 100.

Rob Corder, co-founder and editor-in-chief, WatchPro
