Fresh from his scene-stealing performance as Barbie’s Ken at this month’s Oscars, Ryan Gosling is swapping a TAG Heuer Plasma watch, decorated with pink lab-grown diamonds, for a Carrera Chronograph for his role in the new The Fall Guy movie, which hits cinemas in May.
Gosling plays Colt Seavers, a stuntman who has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job.
TAG Heuer struck a deal that sees the actor wearing a Carrera Chronograph in a series of dramatic set pieces and demonstrating his adherence to the watchmaker’s mantra: “Don’t Crack Under Pressure.”
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Ryan Gosling for The Fall Guy. Ryan’s commitment to his roles is always total — as is his commitment to the brand. We have a unique and authentic creative collaboration with Ryan, which spans everything from producing amazing campaigns together — and even a mini-blockbusters — to accompanying him in his different roles in movies. This quest for excellence in everything he does is perfectly aligned with our brand values,” says TAG Heuer CEO Julien Tornare.
Mr Gosling adds: “My character in The Fall Guy is a stuntman whose job is a matter of life and death – especially if the timing isn’t perfect. When he’s forced to use his stunt skills in the real world, he needed a timepiece that can keep up and won’t let him down. There was no more perfect choice than the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph.”
