Louis Ferla has been named as the new CEO of Cartier jewelry, its owner Richemont has announced.
Ferla will take over from current CEO Cyrille Vigneron who is to step down from the role on September 1 after eight years.
He will continue as chairman of Cartier ‘culture and philanthropy’ and will work closely with Ferla to ensure a smooth handover.
Ferla began his career at Richemont in 2001 as an area sales manager in Hong Kong and then as general manager in Taipei.
In 2006 he joined Cartier, where he held various senior executive positions, namely across the Middle East, India and Africa before being appointed CEO in China.
In 2015, he was promoted to Cartier‘s executive committee as international director clients & business.
In 2017, Ferla moved to Richemont watch brand Vacheron Constantin as CEO.
