Tudor has added a splash of pink to its bestselling Pelagos sports watch as part of its partnership with Giro d’Italia, Europe’s second-most prestigious professional road race after the Tour de France.
Punchy colors are nothing new to Tudor, which made a pink edition of its Black Bay Chrono in 2024 with Major League Soccer club Inter Miami, which is partly owned by the watchmaker’s brand ambassador David Beckham.
Tudor has been official timekeeper of the Giro D’Italia since 2023, and is promoting its association this year with a limited edition Pelagos FXD Chrono Pink.
Race leaders during the Tour de France famously wear the yellow jersey but at the Giro, cyclists compete for the Maglia Rosa, or pink jersey.
Tudor’s Inter Miami Black Bay Chrono came with an entirely pink dial, but the Pelagos FXD Chrono Pink uses the color more sparingly across its dial and fabric strap.
The most interesting use of pink is for a special tachymeter scale, which is calibrated to measure the speed of cyclists rather than the more common version used for motor racing.
Built for extreme sport, the watch comes in a matt black 43mm black carbon composite case standing 13.2mm tall. Titanium is used for its crown and chronograph pushers.
It is powered by Tudor’s Calibre MT5813, a customized Breitling 01 chronograph movement, that is COSC-certified to accuracy better than -2/+4 seconds per day and has a 70-hour power reserve.
The movement is concealed behind a closed case back showing the limited edition number from 0 to 300 and a depiction of pro cyclists from above.
Price is £4,650 (around $5,000 + tax).
