Ora Ito helps Vacheron Constantin celebrates Patrimony anniversary in style

French designer Ora Ito helps design a yellow gold version of the classic dress watch.

Vacheron Constantin has unveiled a limited-edition Patrimony watch in collaboration with the French designer Ora Ito,

Ito, whose company name is stylized Ora ïto, is best known for furniture with swooping, teardrop-like lines.

The watch is launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vacheron Constantin’s classically styled Patrimony collection.

The Patrimony collection is based on one of their watches from the 1950s.

The new 100-piece limited edition has a 40mm yellow gold case with a tone-on-tone gold-coloured dial with concentric circles.

The in-house automatic movement has a 40 hour power reserve.

It comes on a burgundy calfskin leather strap with a yellow gold pin buckle and the watch, if you absolutely insist, is water-resistant to 30m.

“When we launched the Patrimony collection 20 years ago, we were strongly inspired by the aesthetics of the 1950s, a decade particularly characterised by refinement and elegance,” said Sandrine Donguy, Vacheron’s Product Marketing and Innovation Director.

She added: “The Patrimony collection continues this tradition of extreme understatement, confirming Vacheron Constantin’s desire to create watches that are both modern and timeless.”

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Ltd Ed costs $35,300 / £34,000.
