New York-based Hoffman makes special edition Arabic chronograph

All-green Racing 40 Mechanical is a reward for the loyalty of Hoffman's customers in the GCC.

New York-based Hoffman has adopted the Swiss watchmakers’ tradition of marking anniversaries with special edition timepieces.

Five years since Will Hoffman launched his first timepiece, he is marking the occasion with a commemorative Racing 40 Mechanical in a pine green inspired by the vast tracts of evergreen forest in Sweden.

He says the color will only be used for Hoffman’s rarest and most distinguished pieces, which in this case is a mechanical limited edition for the GCC where its green — similar in hue to the Saudi Arabian flag — and Arabic numerals for both the hours and tachymeter scale, will have broad appeal.

The watch embodies Hoffman’s craftsmanship, innovation and pursuit of precision in a two-counter chronograph with classic motorsport-inspired aesthetics.

Mr Hoffman says the watch is a sign of his appreciation for the growing legion of customers in the Gulf states.

“We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our clients across the GCC. Their passion and trust have been instrumental in shaping Hoffman into what it is today. As we look ahead, we remain fully committed to excellence. As we move forward, we remain fully committed to striving for excellence and to crafting timepieces that reflect our shared values and dedication,” he adds.

The Racing 40 Mechanical comes in a 40mm x 12mm steel case housing a Seagull TY2901/ST1901 hand-wound movement, which is visible via an exhibition case back.

It is on sale now for $599 on a rubber strap.
