British microbrand Van Brauge Watch’s mission is to make high quality watches that blend classic designs with modern technology.
The company’s founder and owner, Max Van Brauge, wants to follow in the great tradition of venerable watchmakers by creating timepieces with the precision and engineering that will ensure they survive for generations to come.
“Our mission is to preserve traditional watchmaking techniques while creating design innovations that both honour history and stand out from mass produced products,” Mr Van Brauge says.
Brand new this season is the Parisian, which pays tribute to the city of lights in a watch with 1920s retro styling and a custom-made rotor in the shape of the Eiffel Tower.
It follows the same concept as the New Yorker, a classic three-hander that takes inspiration from the Art Deco movement and has a gold-colored rotor modeled on the Empire State Building.
The 38mm Parisian’s hand painted double curved cream dial has Art-Nouveau-inspired numerals in black on a light green chapter ring and steel blue hands.
