Jaquet Droz has unveiled its latest in a series of unique pieces that pay tribute to the Rolling Stones.
The new watch is dedicated to the 1978 album Some Girls.
That album was controversial for a number of reasons, but the unauthorized use of celebrity images on the cover led to legal action.
The cover was hastily redesigned, but this all led to the legend surrounding the album.
The unique piece is one of a series of one-off watches dedicated to different Stones albums.
The watch has a 43 mm red gold case and even has tiny gold instruments below the time-telling dial.
Fans can see Ronnie Wood’s Fender Stratocaster, Charlie Watts’s drums and Keith Richard’s famous five-string guitar with one string removed.
There is even a tiny gold harmonica next to Mick Jagger’s microphone.
As well as the reproduction of the album’s pop art images, the party piece is the automaton.
With a push of the crown the outer disc performs one full rotation, which takes around 30 seconds, while the Rolling Stones tongue at 8 o’clock waggles from side to side.
There is enough power for around eight revolutions, with the remaining power indicated by the little tonearm at 9 o’clock.
Through the sapphire caseback, the red gold oscillating weight is engraved with the name of the album and its release date.
