Swiss sailor Alan Roura has achieved an extraordinary feat by completing his third solo, non-stop circumnavigation of the globe in the 2024-2025 Vendée Globe, crossing the finish line on February 3, 2025.
With his IMOCA Hublot yacht, Roura secured an 18th place finish, covering 28,553 miles in just 84 days, 55 minutes, and 48 seconds, improving his previous race time by almost 10 days. This achievement exemplifies Roura’s unwavering dedication and tenacity, qualities that Hublot also strives to embody.

The Vendée Globe is the ultimate test of endurance, technical skill, and the ability to adapt to shifting conditions.
Just as Roura faced extreme weather, sail and rudder damage, and countless obstacles, Hublot continuously pushes the boundaries of watchmaking. Like Roura, the Swiss luxury brand thrives on the pursuit of excellence, always searching for new ways to innovate and overcome challenges.
Roura’s journey, starting from Les Sables-d’Olonne on November 10, 2024, was marked by moments of crisis, energy shortages, and unpredictable weather, testing his mental and physical resilience.
Conquering each hurdle at just 31 years old, Roura has solidified his place among the elite ocean sailors – a remarkable feat for someone who began his Vendée Globe journey at just 23.
Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, congratulated Roura on this incredible achievement: “Alan’s passion and drive mirror our own at Hublot. Like crafting an iconic watch, completing the Vendée Globe requires persistence, perseverance, and the will to succeed. We are proud to celebrate this monumental victory with Alan.”
With this third Vendée Globe under his belt (or inflatable jacket in this case), Roura’s journey continues to inspire, both on and off the water, and perfectly exemplifies the pioneering spirit of Hublot.
