French DJ The Avener designs music-inspired Highlife watches for Frederique Constant

This is the second collaboration with The Avener, and a partnership that Frederique Constant hopes will appeal to the artist’s young pop-urban fans.

Frederique Constant’s final launch of its 35th anniversary year is a pair of watches designed by French DJ, musician and producer Tristan Casara — better known by his stage name, The Avener.

Both steel Highlife models, which were unveiled at Dubai Watch Week, have musical designs.

One has a blue dial with a depiction of frequencies monitored on a recording studio console, the other, in black DLC with a black dial, shows how sound waves from a base drop radiate.

There will be 432 of each piece made, a reference to 432Hz, a frequency said to be in perfect harmony with your body.

The 39mm steel watches, powered by automatic FC-303 calibres, have integrated, but interchangeable between a steel bracelet and a choice of a rubber or leather strap.

They come packaged in a small flight case, which will be familiar to any musician on the road.

This is the second collaboration with The Avener, and a partnership that Frederique Constant hopes will appeal to the artist’s young pop-urban fans.

The black model is priced at $2,495 while the blue piece in exposed steel is $2,295.
