British microbrand Duckworth Prestex has unveiled its first GMT watch, the Rivington GMT, in a choice of four new dial colors in black, blue, green, and orange.
Duckworth Prestex, a regular at Wind-Up Watch Fairs in the United States, was founded in 2021 by Neil Duckworth, whose grandfather ran the Prestex watch company in the 1920s.
The cushion-shaped 42mm Rivington GMT watches have waffle-style textured dials.
They use Japanese Miyota 9075 GMT movements protected by closed steel case backs and can be worn on steel bracelets, rubber straps or leather straps in black, green, blue and brown.
“The GMT watch is a classic genre that is more and more relevant in an increasingly connected world. We’ve taken the most distinctive elements of our traditional design language and transplanted them into a state-of-the-art GMT, ready to become a lifetime companion for travellers as well as everyday watch enthusiasts. With a number of striking colors, one of the best movements in the industry, and its unique waffle dial pattern, the Rivington sets new standards for quality and value, ready for a lifetime of loyal service,” says Duckworth Prestex founder Mr Duckworth.
Pre-orders will be taken from September 1 for delivery likely to start in November.
The Rivington GMT is priced at £1100 on a leather or rubber strap, or £1200 on a steel bracelet in the United Kingdom.
