Czapek splits the difference with mid-sized Quai des Bergues watches

To mark the middling size, Czapek has decorated the watches with a newly developed hand-guilloché pattern on the dial.

If your Quai des Bergues timepiece has been feeling a little large on the wrist at 42.5mm or perhaps too small in its 38.5mm size used for the Sapphire Blue S model, then Czapek has the solution in the form of a 40.5mm steel collection.

To mark the middling size, Czapek has decorated the watches with a newly developed hand-guilloché pattern on the dial.

“The two existing sizes of the Quai des Bergues have always been well received,” says Czapek CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel. “But, among our community of enthusiasts, we’ve had many comments and discussions about creating a perfect Goldilocks size in between – one that is adaptable and elegant, looks both dressy and sporty and has a great presence on wrists of all sizes.”

Czapek has named its new guilloché pattern Double Soleil, because the pattern radiates outwards (or is it inwards) from two subdials at the bottom of the dial; one showing seconds, the other combines days of the week and a seven day power reserve indicator.

The dial is offered in a choice of Deep Blue, Tuxedo Black or Secret Alloy the colour of the precious metal alloy from which it is made.

The new watches use the same Calibre SXH1 hand-wound movement, which has two barrels generating power for 7 days.

Both go on sale for CHF 18,800 excluding taxes.
