Cindy Crawford among stars as Omega lifts Olympic spirits

Omega president and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann hosts a star-studded opening day party for the Paris Olympics.

Omega has celebrated the start of the Olympics in Paris with a star-studded event at the brand’s home for the duration of the Games.

Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber welcomed guests to the opening night of Omega House, a “sanctuary for invited guests” that has been set up at the 18th century Hôtel de Poulpry, just around the corner from the Musée d’Orsay.

Crawford is Omega’s most loyal ambassador – she’s been with them since 1995 – and her model daughter Gerber is looking similarly solid, backing the brand now for seven years and counting.

As Olympic timing partner for longer than anyone can remember (since 1932, if we are counting) Omega is going very big on the Paris Games as you would expect.

There are special edition 2024 Olympics watches and last week an Omega Pavilion was set up in a Paris park to celebrate all their sports timekeeping innovations over the years.

Like the Omega Pavilion, Omega House will be open for the duration of the Games.

Other celebrity guests as the opening night included the American sprinter Gabby Thomas, the French rapper Rim’K,  and the Swiss fashion designer Kevin Germanier.

“Paris is a city I adore thanks to my career in fashion,” Crawford said at Omega House. “To be returning here now, with my Omega family at the Olympic Games, is really a sentimental moment. I love that the House is right in the heart of this spectacular host city.”

Her daughter Gerber added: “Omega always does everything to the highest standard. You can see it when they time the events at the Olympic Games, and you can see it here in every detail of the House. I feel quite honoured to be here on opening night.”

Raynald Aeschlimann, Omega President and CEO, said, “This is a night we’ve certainly been waiting for. We’re so excited to have spectators back at the Olympic Games and to share the occasion with friends such as Cindy and Kaia. A lot of energy and passion has gone into making Omega House a wonderful place to be during Paris 2024.”
