Bulova kicks-off 150th anniversary with revival of its 1960s Devil Diver watch

2025 dive watches come in a hybrid ceramic that makes them simultaneously more sleek and sporty.

Landmark dates are coming thick and fast for Citizen Watch Company brands with last year’s 140th anniversary for Citizen last year followed up in 2025 with stablemate Bulova celebrating 150 years since it was founded in 1875.

The first launch for Bulova is an extension to its Oceanographer Snorkel watch collection.

Modern day Snorkels are direct descendants of early dive watches produced in the 1960s, particularly the 666, which was water resistant to 666 feet and was given the name of Devil Diver after the number of The Beast.

2025 editions retain much of the design aesthetic of the Devil Diver, but have been brought up-to-date with the use of scratch-resistant hybrid ceramic for their 41mm cases; a first for Bulova.

Building on the cut-through that a memorable name like the Devil Diver delivers, Bulova has given each of the four new Snorkels names.

The Blue Tang Snorkel watch is named after a type of coral that grows in the Caribbean Sea and is known for its ever-changing shades of blue.

Greens and a deep brown dial with a wave relief are used for the Sea Turtle.

The Clownfish comes in bright orange and white while the Great White Shark watch glides into the collection in glacial grey and white.

“The Snorkel collection was created with multiple purposes in mind,” says Jeffrey Cohen, CEO of Citizen Watch America.

“It is meant to create an extremely price competitive sport watch, utilizing innovative materials while also celebrating what make us passionate about the oceans, the seas and marine life; a universe which is both mysterious, vibrant, exciting and inspiring- all values we seek to embody in Bulova.”

The watches, sold on perforated rubber straps, are rated water resistant to 333 feet and are on sale from today for $350.
