Bell & Ross was created with aircraft instruments as its muse, but the company has now spent years involved with motorsport.
In 2016, the brand even rose to the level of sponsoring the Renault – later Alpine – Formula 1 team.
That partnership has now ended, but the new BR-X5 Racing is a sign that the company’s commitment to four-wheeled racing is still strong.
The race-inspired watch comes complete with little touches like the fuel gauge style power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock.
There is also a checkerboard dial that gives a peek at the movement beneath.
Minutes are on the inner bezel, outside the dial, while hours are inside, inscribed on the glass.
The watch has a 41mm titanium case and a COSC certified in-house automatic with 70 hour power reserve.
The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback.
It has a screw-down crown and 100m of water resistance.
The BR-X5 Racing is a numbered limited edition of 500 watches.
It is available on either a rubber strap or an integrated titanium bracelet and is available at bellross.com
