It’s what’s inside that counts, and Bell & Ross is flexing its skeletonization muscles to show off its newly developed movement with the new BR-03 Skeleton collection.
Comprising three distinct models – Black Ceramic, Grey Steel, and Lum Ceramic – each model adopts the BR-CAL.328 movement, designed exclusively for Bell & Ross, which offers a 54-hour power reserve, and a striking architectural design.
Requiring masterful skill to expose the movement without compromising its structural integrity, the BR-03 Skeleton reinterprets the usual skeletonization technique with an X-shaped bridge, adding a futuristic dimension to the brand’s signature 31mm square case.
It’s here that the trio take different creative directions: The first focuses on transparency, the second transforms a professional-looking watch into a ‘bold jewel’, and the third spotlights luminescence.
The BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic ($ 5,990) looks to aviation-inspired design with a smoked sapphire dial, black ceramic case, and Super-LumiNova-filled indices for superior legibility. It’s paired with a black rubber strap and an additional Velcro option.
For those after a more refined aesthetic, the Grey Steel ($5,600) transforms the BR-03 into a high-tech statement piece.
Featuring a polished and satin-finished steel case, and ruthenium-treated faceted indexes for extra brilliance, this edition is limited to 250 pieces.
A futuristic timepiece by day and a head-turner by night, the final Lum Ceramic version ($6,600) takes Bell & Ross’ signature Super-LumiNova to the extreme.
Limited to 250 pieces and available exclusively through Bell & Ross boutiques, its skeletonised dial, outlined in luminescent material, creates an impressive X-ray effect.
