Bausele has launched its most popular watch as a Swiss Automatic with eye-catching colorways to celebrate 10 years of watch-making for the Australian Company.
In doing so, it has reimagined its bestselling OceanMoon in its fourth rendition, ten years after the original was launched in 2011.
Christo Hoppe, Bausele’s Founder and Head designer, has added enhanced diving features to ensure added versatility.
Commenting on the design, he explained: “This watch is about capturing more than Australia but the lifestyle which encapsulates early summer days on the water anywhere in the world whether it be Greece, Corsica, French Riviera, California, Sardinia or Australia.
“Representing the feeling of friends enjoying the sunrise or sunset, happy on holidays. We tried to capture elements of this lifestyle, such as mimicking the sunlight through the reflective nature of the sunray dial and the band texture, made from ocean waste imitating the feel of sand.”
After moving to Australia with his wife, Christo fell in love with his new home and gave up his corporate job to combine his two passions, designing watches and the Australian lifestyle.
In doing so, he created Bausele, (Be yond Au stralian Ele ments), Australia’s first premium Swiss watch brand.
The OceanMoon watch design was initially launched by Bausele in 2011 and has been perfected over almost a decade.
The OceanMoon IV case is constructed from surgical grade 316L stainless steel with gunmetal IP (black, green and Watchfest versions).
Each watch features a Sapphire crystal face that cannot be scratched or broken.
The movement is a Swiss Made bi-directional self-winding mechanical movement with Incabloc shock system and Nivaflex mainspring.
Water resistant to 200 metres, the strap is made from a high performance plastic made of recycled PET while the dial is a sunray design with Super-Luminova coated indexes and hands.
Arron Coote, Bausele’s CEO, added: “I am immensely proud of how Bausele has grown since Christo began with a big dream 10 years ago. Our latest watch release truly reflects the brand’s growth. The evolution of the OM4, an automatic version of our most revered watch, is the realisation of our dream- an Australian designed watch that holds its own in the main arena, with high end Swiss made timepieces.”
The watch design has seven dial colours to choose from: blue, white, green, silver, black, Limited Edition Paxton Wong Red and AWF 5th Anniversary Limited Edition Light Blue.
Each colour is limited to 100 pieces except for the Limited Edition Red which is limited to 50 watches and the AWF Limited Edition which is limited to 40 watches.
The watches are priced at about USD 950.00 and are available now at www.bausele.com.
