Girard-Perregaux has released a new version of its 1970s revival Casquette 2.0.
The original Casquette was released in the 1976, when LED displays were brand new, and it looked like something from the future.
Now that we are living in the future, we have a soft spot for retro-futurism.
A couple of years ago – following “numerous requests” from buyers – Girard-Perregaux released a modern interpretation of the Casquette.
That earlier 2.0 model was in black ceramic and titanium, and its popularity has led to a new version.

The latest version is a Casquette 2.0 with a titanium case paired to an 18K yellow gold logo and gold pushers.
It comes on a matching Grade 5 titanium bracelet with a rubber lining for comfort.
The titanium buckle has a micro adjustment system, allowing you to an your exact fit.
The watch has a titanium case back and is water-resistant to 50m.
The original 1970s watch showed time, day and date. The Casquette 2.0’s LED display also indicates the month, year, chronograph and has a second time zone.
The Girard-Perregaux’s Casquette 2.0 titanium and gold is a limited edition of 820 pieces and is available at girard-perregaux.com
