Audemars Piguet has released a new grey-toned version of its flagship Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph.
The watch blends various shades of grey and black, with a two-tone case that combines 18k white gold and black ceramic.
The 41mm case houses the Calibre 2952 self-winding movement.
The flying tourbillon chronograph movement debuted in 2020 and has gone into several different iterations of this model.
A good view of the movement is afforded from both sides.
The gears are visible through the transparent 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters at 9 and 3 o’clock.
An open sapphire crystal caseback shows the rhodium-finished pink gold winding rotor.
The hands are in polished pink gold, while 18k white gold for the extra thin bezel, lugs and chronograph pushers.
The architectural bridges are rhodium toned for a silver finish.
The hand-finished ceramic is fired at over 1000 degrees centigrade.
The movement, AP says, has 111 inner angles on bridges and decorative elements, meaning polishing and satin-brushing is a very time consuming task.
Calibre 2952 has a flyback mechanism for instant restarting of the chronograph for taking successive measurements.
The movement has a 65-hour power reserve.
Comes on a dark grey rubber-coated strap with an 18k white gold folding clasp.
