TAG Heuer has updated versions of two of its biggest-hitting Aquaracers, the Professional 300 Date and the 300 GMT.
Aquaracer dive watches sit just above the Formula 1 as one of TAG Heuer’s entry-level lines.
The range covers everything from sub-30mm quartz watches, through to gold-cased models and the hefty 1000m water-resistant Superdiver.
Professional 300 Date and Professional 300 GMT are at the upper end of the Aquaracer range and these subtle upgrades boost their credibility a little bit more.
Both watches are now equipped with a version of the COSC-certified manufacture TH31 calibre automatic movement, TH31-00 for the 300 Date, and TH31-03 for the 300 GMT, with an 80-hour power reserve.
They retain the key features of a bidirectional rotating bezel for the GMT (uni-directional for the Date) and screw-down crown with 300m water-resistance.
The closed caseback features an old-fashioned deep-sea diving helmet in metal relief and the straps come with double safety push-buttons and an advanced adjustment system with five adaptable positions and a 1cm adjustment range.
They come on a rubber strap or a stainless-steel bracelet.
For other tweaks, the Professional 300 Date has an updated minute track and more prominent hour hand for greater legibility.
There is also a wave pattern on the dial in a nod to the watch’s aquatic leanings.
The case size of the watches has been reduced slightly from 43mm to 42mm.
The watch also features a range of new ocean-inspired blues and greens.
The 300 GMT also features splashes of new colour and the GMT hand, offering a second time zone with blue or green lacquered finish and a luminous tip.
The watches are modelled by two TAG Heuer ambassadors, big wave surfers Kai Lenny and Maya Gabeira.
The watches come with an extended five year guarantee.
TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Date is on sale from $3,800 while the 300 GMT costs from $4,200.
