Doxa makes special 200T for Watches of Switzerland as centenary celebration continues

Doxa's diminutive dive watch is made in a new seafoam green color for Watches of Switzerland.

Watches of Switzerland may be relatively new to the United States, but its forefathers in the United Kingdom have been trading for 100 years.

Its centenary year has been punctuated with special watches from its partners, and the celebrations are continuing with another one of its suppliers, Doxa, making an exclusive watch as a symbol of its appreciation.

“What an anniversary! Doxa is so happy to be part of the great Watches of Switzerland family and to be celebrating the company’s centenary together,” says Jan Edöcs, CEO of Doxa.

“To mark this significant occasion, we are thrilled to unveil a special edition of our new SUB 200T featuring a never-before-seen color at Doxa, Seafoam green, which brings a refreshing and vibrant look that stands out in our collection,” he adds.

The watch is a unique version of the SUB 200T, which launched at last week’s shows in Geneva, and comes with a pale green sunray dial with polished gold-coated hands and indexes.

Its case back has a commemorative engraving of the Watches of Switzerland Centenary logo.

The SUB 200T is Doxa’s answer to the current trend for smaller watches, coming in a new 39mm x 41.50mm x 10.70 mm steel case size with a full range of colors and the choice of a flat matte or sunray effect dial.

They can be bought on rubber straps that match dial colors or on a beads of rice-style steel bracelet.

The 200T is water resistant to 660 feet, less than the 4,000 feet of its more professional 300T dive watches, but more than enough for everyday scuba pursuits or, more likely, wearing to the office and gym.

The special edition watch is on sale from this week at Watches of Switzerland and its stablemate Mayors priced at $1,690 on the steel bracelet, slightly more than the core collection.
