ArtyA is highlighting the almost orchestral beauty of what it is calling its symphony in three movements: three watches using three variations of its Purity Tourbillon calibre.
The barely-there hand-wound skeleton movement weighs just 9 grams, despite being built around an oversized 18mm tourbillon and twin barrels capable of powering watches for up to three days without winding.
What better way to show off the spectacular simplicity of the movement than in watches hued from sapphire crystal, a combination that helped ArtyA reach the final of the 2021 GPHG Awards for its Purity Tourbillon.
The past three years have seen a number of different models added to the Purity Tourbillon collection including two colour variants like the colour-shifting amber and green Chameleon and the yellow and purple Bicolor — both 45mm models in round cases.
Next came the Tiny Purity Tourbillon in 39mm circular NanoSaphir cases that use a variation of the movement with a dial relocated to 3 o’clock above two barrels.
And most recently, the Curvy Purity Tourbillon, a 38.5 x 43mm tonneau-shaped watch designed to wear more comfortably on the wrist.
The watch required a third configuration of the movement with the tourbillon at 6 o’clock to make room for a small time-only dial at 12 o’clock.
It was unveiled in an Emerald colour sapphire case at November’s Dubai Watch Week 2023.
