Well, I would say this, wouldn’t I? Next week’s WatchPro Awards in New York will be the biggest and best night of the year for the American watch industry, and I look forward to seeing many of you there.

Having held the WatchPro Awards in London for almost a decade, I can say with confidence that this is a night that nobody in the business will want to miss.

For those unable to attend, we will make sure you have plenty of pictures and video to make you see the error of your ways and book well in advance for the 2024 event!

The WatchPro USA Awards take place on September 14 at Cipriani’s spectacular event venue at 25 Broadway, right down by Wall Street.

Cipriani at 25 Broadway, New York City, will host the WatchPro USA Awards on September 14.

And, since we still have a few tables available to book, I thought I would give you 10 reasons why you should be there.

Top 10 reasons to attend the WatchPro Awards

01 Time spent with friends and colleagues from the industry is never wasted. It has never been more important to hear about the experiences of other retailers, and learn what has been working for them over the past year.

02 You can learn which retailers have been the most admired by seeing who has made the short list of finalists and ultimately wins the trophy. This is valuable intelligence for anybody shooting to be the best in the business.

03 The same goes for watch brands. Our Awards aim to look past which are the biggest brands and unearth which are most admired by retailers based on criteria like service and support, great people to deal with, marketing and product availability. It is the people that count most towards who wins WatchPro Awards.

04 This is a celebration for the entire American watch industry, which has overtaken China and Hong Kong to become the biggest in the world. That achievement deserved a big night for the people who made it happen.

05 See me deliver a Corder’s Column live on stage. The night is all about you, but I won’t be able to resist sharing a few thoughts on what I believe has made the American watch industry the greatest on earth.

06 Enjoy the night. We have chosen Cipriani because we believe it is the finest venue in New York with its 60 foot high arched ceilings, a spectacular laser show and live music from a string quartet.

07 Cipriani’s legendary Italian history and flair guarantees the food will be excellent, and we are laying on Champagne and all other drinks for the price of your ticket.

08 We will be sharing news of the Awards around the world, and don’t think the Swiss don’t notice these things. Anybody who is anybody should be in the room, and we will all be looking our best with black tie for men and evening gowns for ladies.

09 Show a little love for WatchPro. Quality journalism is expensive, so if you want us to keep doing what we do, coming to see us at our biggest (and costliest) event of the year will be hugely appreciated.

10 Be a completionist. In a few years time, everybody in the industry will be attending the annual WatchPro Awards, but only people at this launch event will be able to say they have been to every one of them.
