Finalists will be announced early next week.

With over 200 votes already cast across the 14 categories, the results are incredibly tight for almost every Awards.

WatchPro Awards have a unique methodology for the vote.

Retailers asked to give a rating out of five for the watch brands they have most admired over the past year.

Watch brand executives give a rating for the retailers they have most-admired.

For the retailer awards, we ask brand executives to consider factors such as:

  • Your experience working with the owners and executive team
  • Showroom design and locations
  • Ecommerce and online
  • Marketing and client events
  • After sales service and support

For the watch brand awards, we ask retailers to consider product quality, availability and innovation, marketing support, clear and consistent communication, value for money, profitability and impact on your business.

The voting is much less about market share and scale, and more about the quality of people, service and relationships.

With five days of voting to go, it is clear this qualitative methodology is generating some fascinating insight into the dynamics of the American watch industry, with surprise leaders across many of the retailer and brand award categories.

The voting process is entirely anonymous, but ensure we know who is voting, we ask for name, company and e-mail address. The e-mail address must be a corporate e-mail, not gmail.com, live.com, etc.

Voting is only permitted by executives in the watch industry, but we encourage people to circulate the voting form within their organizations, because we the views of people from marketing and accounts to sales and service all help to build up a picture of which brands are doing best.

Winners will be announced at the WatchPro Awards gala dinner on September 14 in New York City.
