Fourtané’s second generation owner, Josh Bonifas, is a man on a mission to take the business to a new level since taking the reins from his father John.
Earlier this week we reported the recruitment of Hodinkee’s chief commercial officer Russell Kelly to join the Carmel-by-the-Sea retailer.
Mr Bonifas tells WatchPro that he wanted the talent and experience of Mr Kelly — also a long term personal friend — as he aims to grow business at its flagship in the iconic Californian village.
In addition, he revealed that work is already underway to expand the company’s Rolex boutique in San Diego.
The showroom, in the upmarket Fashion Valley Mall, will double in size to almost 3,500 square feet.
Mr Bonifas is promising that the remodeled showroom, when it fully reopens in January next year, will have a unique design.
“People will not have seen a Rolex boutique like this,” he says.
