Nothing forges a stronger lifelong bond between a watch brand and a customer than a graduation gift.
That may be the thinking behind a new range of Breitling Endurance Pro University Editions in the liveries of Princeton University, The United States Naval Academy, The University of Alabama and University of Michigan.
The watches are made in the colors of the colleges and designed as lightweight and robust sports chronographs.
They also carry signature emblems from the institutions, thanks to official licensing deals.
The Princeton University edition with orange details and a matching colored strap has the Princeton Shield on its dial and case back.
A Naval Academy model uses the institute’s signature blue and has its Navy Midshipmen logo on the dial and the United States Naval Academy Anchor engraving on the back.
University of Alabama alumni will want the red details on their watch and strap, an Alabama Crimson Tide athletic department logo on the dial and a Where Legends Are Made campaign engraving on the flipside.
And the University of Michigan edition has the establishment’s blue on its inner bezel and matching strap. There is a signature maize Block M on the dial and Michigan Lamp of Knowledge Seal engraved on the case back.
Breitling’s Endurance Pro comes in a 44-millimeter plastic polymer Breitlight case housing a SuperQuartz movement.
“When I went to my first collegiate football game in Alabama, the passion and enthusiasm I saw first-hand from the fans had me so inspired, I knew this would be the perfect alignment for a custom Breitling Endurance Pro University of Alabama edition watch. With this idea came the vision to expand the University Editions with three other iconic colleges with Princeton University, The United States Naval Academy and The University of Michigan. Their signature school colors compliment the already colorful Breitling Endurance Pro collection, and we knew students, alumni and fans of these universities would like to showcase this school spirit on their wrists,” says Breitling USA president Thierry Prissert.
